ADU construction
Arcadia Construction & Remodeling · CSLB #1124114
Plan-based residential construction for Arcadia homeowners considering an ADU, garage conversion, home addition, whole-home remodel or new build.
A complete construction scope
Arcadia residential projects can be shaped by lot configuration, existing structures, utility locations, fire-area conditions and the way new work connects to the original home. Those conditions should be understood before construction responsibilities are finalized.
Our process brings plans, structural work, building systems, finish selections, permits and inspections into one written construction scope. That coordination is especially important for ADUs, additions and major remodels involving several trades.
Matamoros Construction Inc. is based in Moreno Valley and serves Arcadia projects by appointment. We do not claim an Arcadia office.

Typical project scope
Final work is based on existing conditions, approved plans when applicable, and your written construction agreement.
Start with the Arcadia address, intended use, desired result, photographs, available plans and preferred timing.
Evaluate visible access, grading, drainage, existing structures and utility routes that may affect the project.
Identify drawings, engineering, energy documents, selections, allowances, exclusions and owner responsibilities.
Confirm Arcadia planning and building requirements, document readiness, long-lead materials and inspection milestones.
Manage contracted labor, materials and qualified specialty trades around the approved plans and written scope.
Preserve access for required inspections, complete contracted corrections, cleanup and the final walkthrough.
Projects we can evaluate
We evaluate defined construction scopes where structural work, permits, multiple trades or detailed finishes require organized general contracting.
New or converted living space coordinated around the property, plans, structure, utilities, energy requirements and inspections.
Expanded living areas tied carefully into the existing foundation, roof, exterior envelope and building systems.
Multi-room renovation sequenced from demolition and rough work through cabinetry, flooring, paint and closeout.
Larger remodels involving layout, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, waterproofing, cabinetry, tile and fixtures.
Ground-up construction coordinated from approved documents and site work through structure, systems and finishes.
Defined outdoor and exterior projects involving structure, weather protection, decks, drainage and finish transitions.
Primary service area
Arcadia provides ADU guidance, zoning lookup and online permit services through Arcadia EDGE. The City also maintains a pre-approved detached ADU program; homeowners using a listed plan still need a site plan and project-specific building-permit submittal.
Selected project work
These are Matamoros Construction Inc. project photographs from other Southern California communities; they are not identified as Arcadia projects.

Utility locations coordinated before concrete closes the work.

Structural framing prepared for weather protection and rough building systems.

Waterproofing, tile, glass and fixtures completed as one coordinated bathroom scope.
Arcadia planning and permits
Arcadia states that its pre-approved detached ADU plans require a site plan and supporting documents. The City also notes special limitations for sites in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, so eligibility and site conditions must be confirmed before a plan is selected or priced.

Yes. We can review a detached, attached or conversion ADU using the property address, current conditions, available plans and utility information, then define construction from approved documents.
Yes. Arcadia maintains a Pre-Approved ADU program for certain detached new-construction designs. Homeowners must work with the plan designer and submit the required site plan and supporting documents for the property.
The City states that pre-approved plans cannot be modified; changes require a revised plan set subject to review. Site conditions and eligibility must also be verified before relying on the program.
